Biography

Slow Talk is an Alternative Rock duo composed of vocalist James Butler and guitarist Ash Fuller. Based in Melbourne, Australia, the duo’s creative vision is brought to life on stage by an experienced and tight knit live roster consisting of Patrick Fielding (Guitar), Michael Petritsch (Bass) and Declan White (Drums). 

A seminal 2018 for Slow Talk ushered the release of their debut EP, alongside two hard hitting singles, introducing audiences to Butler and Fuller’s characteristically melodic and emotive sound. Drawing comparisons to alternative rock icons Circa Survive and Citizen, the pair received critical acclaim from industry tastemakers such as triple J (Short.Fast.Loud), Killyourstereo and Hysteria Mag.

The remainder of 2018 saw the band performing locally across a slew of shows in support of artists such as Pridelands, Columbus, The Omnific, Osaka Punch and The Valley Ends. The duo looks to continue driving their ambitious songwriting forward with whispers of an album on the horizon for 2024.
